Your child will bring home the form on February 11th.

This next term will be just as busy as the last two.  We will learn a new letter every 5 days.  The next 3 letters we will learn are b, m, and r.   We will continue to work with the numbers 0-10 and move into number words and larger numbers for those students who are ready.  We will keep adding words to our word wall and go over them often. We will use these words in sentences,  and to help us write and spell.  We will continue learning words that rhyme, how to break words into syllables (parts) and how to blend syllables to make words.  Just imagine how smart the children are going to be by spring.

Thank you for supporting your child with the nightly homework assignments. The children who have their homework complete are extremely proud of themselves. I think that’s why 94% of the our class does their homework on a regular basis. Wow! That is 32 out of 36 students! During term 3 let’s see if we can make it 100%.  We can reach this goal with your help.  Make sure your child completes and returns his/her homework the next day.  In order to complete homework, your child needs pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue sticks at home.  Always have your child do the homework with a pencil unless  the directions tell him/her otherwise.  Have your child write his/her name on the homework each night.  The extra practice is really paying off.  Have your child put the homework back in the green homework folder and  be sure you check behind him/her. This helps teach responsibility.  Keep up the good work!!  You are great parents with super children!!  I love working with them every day!!!
